- The Metro Division Adray Board of Directors shall consist of the Metro Division Vice-President and one Metro Division Adray Director from each association. The Board of Directors for the Metro Division will make the final decisions on all league matters. From these Directors a Division Secretary as well as Division Director for each playing division (i.e., Mini-Mite, Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget) shall be chosen by a majority vote of all Directors present.
- Each association will have only one vote in all league matters or decisions. The Vice-President will vote only in the event of a tie unless the Vice-President is also a director from an association. In such an event the Vice-President is allowed only one vote. All matters that are voted on must be approved by a majority of Directors present to be adopted.
- All matters of divisional involvement will first be attempted to be resolved within the division prior to any executive board involvement. All communications shall include the Vice-President, the Division Director, and the Directors from both respective associations.
- Associations shall conduct their drafts in accordance with the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association rules and regulations. All association by-laws and draft rules must be submitted and approved by their MAHA District Council per the MAHA Annual Guidebook.
- All associations shall furnish a copy of their USA Hockey Player Roster and Team Application for all teams, (certified by the local associate registrar) to their Division Director prior to any games being played. It is the responsibility of each team’s head coach to be sure that these as well as any supplemental rosters are turned into their Division Director prior to the player or coach participating with the team in any game. Failure to do so could result in games played not counting towards the standings.
- The Board of Directors shall have the authority to impose initial or additional suspensions for any conduct the board deems detrimental to the league.
- All teams shall abide by the published schedule with games starting on time. If any changes are required, they must be approved by the Division Director from the teams involved before any schedule changes occur.
- All game misconducts must be called into your Division Director within 24 hours after the completion of the game. In the event that a player or coach receives a game misconduct penalty during a league game, that player or coach shall sit out the balance of that game, and the next Adray League game. (This could result in a player or coach being disqualified for the game in which the penalty occurred plus two additional games if their scheduled game following the penalty is not a league game. This satisfies USA/MAHA rule that you sit your next schedule game as well as Adray’s next league game.)
- The Metro Division Adray Hockey League shall be governed by the rules and regulations of Michigan Amateur Hockey Association, (MAHA) and USA Hockey.
- The home team must furnish the game pucks, at least two USA Hockey registered officials, a time keeper, and at least 50 minutes of ice for all scheduled league games. If both teams’ coaches agree to start a game with one official and proceed to play, this cannot then at the conclusion of the game be used as a reason to protest. NO TIME OUTS allowed in Adray League games. If the game official determines a conflict in jersey colors being too similar the home team must wear pullovers or change to an alternate jersey color that satisfies the game official.
- All score sheets must be submitted to the team’s Division Directors within 48 hours after completion of the game. The method of submitting these score sheets will be decided at the scheduling meeting by the individual Division Directors (i.e.: both home and visiting team call in game score, game misconducts and match penalties, or they can fax, e-mail, or U.S. Mail all score sheets).
- The head coach is responsible for the conduct of the players before, during and after all games.
- All games in Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget Divisions shall consist of at least 3 ten minute periods of stop time play. If games consist of more than 3 ten minute periods it must be mutually agreed upon at the scheduling meeting by the coaches in that division and the Division Director and the length of game noted on the score sheet. NO RUNNING CLOCKS ALLOWED. The league has no authority to question the judgment of arena personnel in their decisions regarding curfew clocks; therefore if played in a curfew arena all league games must adhere to arena curfew clocks which may shorten the third period of any given game.
- New Associations may be added to the Metro Division Adray League with a majority vote by the Current Board of Directors. All associations belonging to the Adray League must be approved by Michigan Amateur Hockey Association and be an association in good standing. Failure to be an association in good standing will immediately result in all teams from that association being disqualified from league play and ineligible for playoffs.
- A Conduct Committee will be set up each season with the Vice President and three members of the Board of Directors sitting on this committee. The purpose of this committee will be to review any matters involving players, coaches, or team officials in which any action taken may be detrimental to the league and to address game protests.
